Getting Started #
Hey, thanks so much for purchasing from the DWS Template Shop! This guide will be your go-to knowledge base for setting up and customizing your new theme. You can refer back to it at any time during your setup process. If you run into questions that are not covered here, feel free to submit them through this form. We’re here to help you every step of the way!
What’s Included #
In your package, we’ve included everything you need to launch a stunning WordPress site:
- Theme File (.zip) – Upload this file to your WordPress site to install the theme.
- Stock Images & Blog Posts – Pre-loaded assets to give your site as an example of the feel from the start.
- All Essential Pages – Pre-designed layouts for pages like Home, About, Blog, Contact, and more.
- Documentation – This guide covers installation, customization, and troubleshooting tips.
Before You Start #
Before diving in, make sure you have the following in place:
- WordPress Installed and Hosted
You’ll need WordPress installed on a hosting platform. If you don’t have one, popular options include:- SiteGround
- DigitalOcean
I have personally used Bluehost, DigitalOcean, and Cloudways by Digital Ocean. - Bluehost
- Domain Name Connected to Your Website
Ensure your domain is properly linked to your hosting provider. Most hosts offer tutorials or support for connecting your domain. - Access to WordPress Dashboard
You’ll need to log in to your site’s admin dashboard to install and customize the theme. You can access it through:- Your hosting platform’s control panel
