Embedding via Instagram’s “Embed” Option (Desktop)
Instagram allows you to directly copy the embed code from any post using the desktop version of Instagram. This method provides an embed code that you can insert into your WordPress HTML.
Step 1: Find the Post and Click the Three Dots
On your desktop, go to the Instagram post you want to embed. Click on the three dots in the top right corner of the post.
Step 2: Select “Embed”
From the dropdown menu, select Embed. Instagram will generate an embed code for that specific post.
Step 3: Copy the Embed Code
Click Copy Embed Code. You’ll now have the HTML code ready to insert into your WordPress site.
Step 4: Add the Embed Code in WordPress
In your WordPress editor, switch to the HTML view or enter “/html”. Paste the embed code where you want the Instagram post to appear. When you return to the Visual editor, the post should appear as an embedded Instagram post.
Step 5: Publish or Update the Page/Post
Once the embed code is in place, publish or update your page or post to make it live.
